Exchange Cluster Backup

I am new to the Netbackup 6.0 product and am currently using it on a test environment exchange 2003 cluster.

I have noticed that I only seem to get a backup of the mailboxes, Public Store and Information store when a particular node is active.

The policy for the exchange backup has been configured correctly to use the EVS name and as far as I can see, and I do get a completly successfull backup of the Mailboxes, Public Folders and Information Store on one node.

If I then fail over exchange to the other node, the same policy will show in activity monitor that it has been successfull but only the Information store has been backed up.

Any advice would be greatly received.

Hi,

I have sorted the issue out now, I had inadvertently entered the mailbox that is used for message level backup into the host properties of one of the nodes. I noticed that this was blank on the client that was the owner of the evs from which I would get a successfull backup.

Removed it, failed over the cluster and got a successfull backup of everything.
