Hello,
I am looking to set up a global cluster using VCS for our NetBackup environment - i have read through the set up and admin guide for VCS but have a question - my solution will involve 2 masters 1 at one site and the other at a different site - therefore will VCS work where each master exists on a different subnet
Many thanks in advance for any assistance with this
Regards

Hi,
Yes it will work fine. For Windows environments, the LANMAN resources that onlines the computer name of your master, e.g. backupsrv, in the site also has the ability to update the DNS servers in the environment. Therefore, when you failover the DR, the agent tell the DNS servers what the new IP address is for the master server. Clients will talk to DNS and be passed the new IP.
For UNIX/LINUX there is a serarate DNS agent that you can add to your service groups.
Check the docs for more info.
