Hot Catalog Duplication

I wanted to know if there is some way to automatically run duplication of media after completion of Hot Catalog backup , right now we do it manully using GUI in 6.5.3

you can use multiple copies option in schedule attributes of nbu_catalog policy or you can use storage life cycle policies.

can we use in-line copy for hot catalog backups ?,, would the recovery procedure be same for both the tapes ?

Mutiple copies is sometimes refered as inline tape copy

We have a unix job that runs that will copy our hot-catalog file that is written to disk out to our DR site for active movement. Not sure how your plan is but i do know that Vault doesnt like to duplicate hot-catalog backups.

you can also schedule a vault policy to start another hot catalog backup after this one is done..just a another thought...

for vault you would require vault license i suppose
