HotCatalogue backup coverage- everything or just Critical Policies

Hello All,

I have so far failed to find this answer in the docs, but I'm certain someone here knows: does the hotcatalogue backup policy cover the whole catalogue ( just like the cold one does ) or is it related to the policies selected as 'Critical' in the critical policies tab?

Obviously its a rather important point...only I cant see why one would distinguish between Critical and not, unless theres something happens at recovery and it tells you which media you need to have to recover the Critical policies, perhaps.

Start reading the at the bottom of page 116 in the "Veritas NetBackup Vault Administrator's Guide":

A new NetBackup catalog policy option, critical policies, lets you select policies

that should be recovered before backups from other policies are recovered. The

media that contains the backup images from those critical policies are listed in

the new NetBackup disaster recovery report.
