Exchange Client

Topic: About Configuring Services for Network File System (NFS) on the windows 2003 R2 netbackup media server and netbackup clients.

Microsoft Services for NFS
did not need to configure as all settings were configured when i opened up Windows components.

Configure the portmap service to start automatically at server restart:

Document:ation is incorrect:
sc config portmap start= auto

Correct syntax:
sc \\servername config portmap start= auto

Document is incorrect:
this command should return the status
[SC] QueryServiceConfig Success.

Correct Status returned:
[SC] OpenService FAILED 1060:
 The specfied service does not exist as an installed service


I will add more to this thread as I configure Exchange client.
However, I would appreciate corrections and comments from Symantec technicians.

• Client for NFS
• Microsoft Services for NFS Administration
• RPC External Data Representation

Documentation shows the following services as Unchecked

• RPC Port mapper
• Server for NFS

On my Windows 2003 Server R2 x32, these services are checked.
