Good day all, I’m having issues getting NBU 6.5 installed on a Server running RedHat 5.3
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.3 (Tikanga)
2.6.18-128.el5 #1 SMP Wed Jan 21 08:45:05 EST 2009 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

The error I’m getting is as follows during the install

Reading NetBackup files from /root/NBU/EnterpriseServerv65DVD2/linuxR_x86/anb

/root/NBU/EnterpriseServerv65DVD2/linuxR_x86/catalog/anb/NB.file_trans: error while loading shared libraries: libacl.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
/root/NBU/EnterpriseServerv65DVD2/linuxR_x86/catalog/anb/NB.file_trans failed.         Aborting ...

I do have libaclso.1
find / -name libacl* -print
/lib64/libacl.so.1.1.0
/lib64/libacl.so.1

Does anyone know what’s up or can guide me in the right direction?

Thanks, but it seems that wont work because it needs to be 6.5.3. I'm trying to install 6.5 and having this issue.

"/lib64" tells me that you still need to install the 32-bit libraries, I think.  Check out this TechNote:

GENERAL ERROR: The NetBackup installation fails on a Linux server with "error while loading shared libraries" reported.
