Is it possible to recover windows data from unix platforms and vice versa.If yes, how..?

I hate saying things like "possible" or "impossible" so instead I'll say that it's an unsupported procedure and leave it at that.

NetBackup does not offer you any tool or capability to perform this kind of migration.

 

As CRZ mentioned it is not supported by Symantec Technical Support however, you can engage professional services and they can help you. Contact your Symantec Saled rep. Alternatively, you can search the forum and get more info on it. I remember seeing few posts arounds the same topic.

Are you talking about restoring Windows data onto a Unix file system?  Or restoring Windows backups using a Unix master/media server?  Or restoring data from a Sun server that is running Windows?
