Hi All,

I have upgraded the Master and Media servers from MP4 to MP6. Master server is in solaris & Media servers are in Windows . After upgradation the Netbackup Java Console from the PC's are not  working properly, but the console is working properly in the master server.

If the Netbackup Java console is opened from the PC's ,only  the console related to "Media->volume pools->  Volume groups" & "Robots" is hanging. (V sign is rotating), rest is working.

The java console in the desktops were without any Maintance Pack. I applied MP6 related to Java, but still the problem exsist.

Kindly help to solve this.

Probably your issue is with the drives or library config, I have see this when netbackup cannot see all the drives properly, I will recomend you to check the tpconfig, tpautoconf and vmglob so they match the Serial Number, Name and Path of each drive if a drive is miss in many cases java acts like this.

hope this helps.

Hi,

The problem is resolved on the clients by installing Netbackup Java Console MP4 on the Client.

Hi,
I have the same issue still pending with MP6, but you can try the next with MP5

- Remove all the MP´s from you PC
- Remove NB Java Console
- Reboot
- Install NB Java Console
- Install MP5
- Go to C:\Program Files\VERITAS\Java
- Edit setconf.bat
- Modify Set FORCE_IPADDR_LOOKUP=1 to Set FORCE_IPADDR_LOOKUP=0
