I took a volume and put the new volume inside. I am getting the following message after doing the inventory robot. Please help.

This looks normal to me.

The output indicates that at some point the 17 tapes identified have been removed from the library (either manually or via robtest) & this is the first time that you have inventoried the robot & updated volume configuration since then - up until that point NetBackup did not know that the tapes had been removed from the library.

I did not manually removed the media. What i should do now?

Are these tapes still physically in the library? i.e. can you actually see them in their respective slots ?

Do they show up when you "Inventory / Show Contents" within NetBackup GUI ?

If there is discrepancy between the two (physical location compared with NetBackup) then you may need to consider a bit of manual manipulation &/or a restart of library & NetBackup services.

You could also try "Inventory / Compare contents with volume configuration" to detect any mis-matches. ( Forgot that one Smiley Surprised ).

two things.

first
everytime you take tapes out of the libray you have to UPDATE the netbackup database.

your robot has a database of what it knows to be inside.
netbackup has a database of what it THINKS is in the database.
so if you eject tapes have to to click UPDATE on that gui screen to make the netbackup database update to what the robot has.
This screen is showing you that as some time those tapes were removed from the robot but the netbackup database was never updated with the change.

second
I do not see that you told it to empty the I/O (also know as the MAP) ports to take that tape out of the slot and added it to the robot and the database.

so tell it to empty the inport and inventroy and then ok to update the database.

this will get you through this problem.

then find the manule or the help pages and read up on how to inventory the robot.
