Linux/UNIX NetBackup Client 5.1 : Entries in /etc/services

Does anyone know what the purpose of the bprd service on
a Linux NetBackup client 5.1 is ?

/etc/services:

(..)
bprd                     13720/tcp
bpjava-msvc       13722/tcp
bpcd                    13782/tcp
vnetd                   13724/tcp
vopied                 13783/tcp
(..)

I used to believe that the bprd service exists only (and is only useful) on a master server 5.1.

In addition, I am looking for a paper which shows step by step all netbackup daemons and the sequence of tcp/ip connections (between the master server and client) involved during a master server initiated scheduled backup.
