Hi All,
MSDP is frequently going down and automatically coming up after sometime.
Master server = Windows 2K8 with Netbackup 7.6.0.4
Media server = Windows 2K8 with Netbackup 7.6.0.4
MSDP = around 8 TB NetApp lun
We are monitoring last few weeks, MSDP is frequently going down and comes up automatically. When I checked with local support team . They said, " There is a bug in 7.6.0.4 and it will be resolved updating to 7.6.1.2
We don't have plan to update the Netbackup version because of my VM environment is not supported for 7.6.1.2
I have scheduled reboot for media server monthly once . 2 days before it was rebooted but again issue came. Is there any other way to avoid MSDP down issue.

Try adjusting the value for the DPS timeout as per this note

Mark_Solutions always recommend a value of 800 in DPS_PROXYDEFAULTRECVTMO.

(Take care that Notepad does not add .txt to the filename).
