Migration from HP DPM to Net Backup

I would like to ask some idea on how to mirgrate our existing backup system to Netbackup

There are no tools or scripts that can do this.

The process should be to correctly design the NBU environment to carry out what you wish it to do.

Build the master/ media servers following the detailsNBU environment design doc that has been produced.

Test, test, test, test, and test some more with tmp clients.

Migrate a few clients across in groups, so put clients of similar types in groups eg.

unix/ winds/ DB /  VM / important stuff/ not quite so important stuff  etc ...

Migrate just one server from each group type and ...

test, test, test, test ,test

Migrate a few mores servers from each group type ....  and guess what ....

test, test, test, test

If things are looking good with NO issues at all, you can start bringing clients across is 'greater numbers'.

Everything should be documented.  Any setting on the master, that is changed frm the default, should be written down, as should all policy details, and settings changed for any client.

Thank you for the information can you give me some documentation about the best bractise on the Netbackup specifically backing up our exchange servers.
