NBU 6.0 MP4 migration from Solaris to Linux

I am planning to migrate my master server from Solaris to Linux. I have no plans to move any of the tapes or tape drives. I am going to a tape-less solution so all that I need to move are the disk images and the policies.

Since I am not moving my tapes, is it as big of a problem as they say in this article:

No not that big of a problem since you are basically staying with a "UNIX" environment. You can use do a bprecover. Install Netbackup on the linux box then do a bprecover to get your catalogs data back. You could probably mount /opt/openv from your Solaris box then rsync your /opt/openv/netbackup/db directory to the lynux box.
