Hello,
I have a problem with the installation NBU 7.5 and I looking any idea
My environment MS Windows 2008 R2 x64 (virtual)
I install from local administrator account, (with all rights)
For name resolving server use DNS (and I added the entry to hosts file), name and IP are resolved correct
If I install previous version 7.1.0.4 I has not any problem.
When I install 7.5 NetBackup does not start.
NetBackup Environment Checker does not mark any errors
NetBackup Install log does not mark any errors
When I try start console I looking warning services nor running.
After Repair when I try start console I see information: NetBackup is unabel to resolve the server name the
At the few netbackup log file I found this information:
WARN: Neither IPv4 nor IPv6 configured for remote 0 0x0,22:vnet_configured_stacks,0
and
[vnet_addrinfo.c:3692] no valid addresses to copy 0 0x0,13:copy_addrinfo,0
From OS level name is resolved correct (short, long and IP), Ethernet interface is up, I try open all firewall ports, and change UAC level.
I try install on another w2k8 r2 server and w2k3 r2 x64, the problem persist, test the installation by upgrade ..the problem persist
Install binary are correct (I verify checksum) (For information similar problem I has with FA version, Beta version installed correct)
My ideas are over :(
I'm looking for new ideas.
regards

I found the source of the problem. :)
Bug/features/spy mechanism: TELEMETRY !!!
If Master has not connection to internet NBU NOT WORKING !!!!
I add secondary ethernet card bridged to internet and NBU started,
I try on another machine without internet connection NBU says go to hell, when I add connection to internet NBU says welcome.

Aha!! Yes, you need to have an active Network connection. I have come across issues with this before, but never seen these symptoms.
Thanks for posting back with the cause of the issue
