Hi Team,
I am getting the below error while starting Netbackup client services.
The NetBackup Client Service service failed to start due to the following error:
The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.The NetBackup Client Service service failed to start due to the following error:
The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.
A timeout was reached (30000 milliseconds) while waiting for the NetBackup Client Service service to connect.
I have tried, Reboot, reinstall, . Googled everything none helped.
Please help me.

UAC is enabled
Please try to disable UAC or open cmd with right-click, Run as Administrator.

Do you have (by any chance) McAffee installed on ur system. If yes, add all the NBU services and process in the excluson list of McAffee and reboot the server. See how it goes.
which account are you using to start the NBU services. It should be the Local admin account.

Hi Team,
Using symantec anti virus will all NBU services exclution. I even tried with virus scan off.
Error in event log.

Please tell us more about your setup like OS version amd NetBackup version.
Enable debug logging on this client if never, and check logs for any clue. Also check processes using 'bpps' command.

I agree with Yasuhisa - we need more info:
Is this a new installation that has never worked before?
What is OS (and bit) version?
What is NBU version and patch level?
Anything in System Event log?
What else is running on this machine?

Hi Marianne,
os -- Windows server 2008 R2 enterprise.
NBU i am trying to install is 7.1
It was working b4. Suddenly got the error. Please find the attached error snapshot for the same.
In the Event veiwer i am getting the below error.
The NetBackup Client Service service failed to start due to the following error:
The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.The NetBackup Client Service service failed to start due to the following error:
The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.
A timeout was reached (30000 milliseconds) while waiting for the NetBackup Client Service service to connect.
No logs are produced under c:\progfiles\veritas\netbackup\logs.

Is Symantec Provate Branch Exchange running?
We see NBU Legacy Client service is 'Stopping'.
In what order are you starting services?
Is UAC disabled?
We still don't know what else is running on this server that may be causing NBU services to fail.

bpdown -f -v
bpup -v -f
UAC is enabled
SQL 2008 is running

Client service log on as local system account , was different user account used?
