NBU migration case

We are planning to migrate our NBU 7.1.0.4 to different location with following procedure. Has anyone do the same? Suggestions will be wecome.

1. on our source NBU master (7.1.0.4 HP-UX 11.31), we have /usr/open and /usr/openv/netbakup/db on a SAN disk.

2. installed a new NBU on another SAN disk, same version, same hostname but different IP.

3. EMC storage SDRF (remote mirroring) will be used to clone the source SAN disk, the synced the clone will be mounted on new NBU, the existed one will be unmounted.

4. restart NBU services.

I'm assuming the mount points will stay be same on the new SAN disk as the old one? Sounds fine to me.

You forgot to mention OS on new server?

If HP-UX and path/mount point will be identical to old server, all should be fine.

yes, actually we will use HP ignite technology to clone the OS storage LUN, everything should be same. Thanks for confirming.
