NDMP Restore

Hi,

When I am trying to restore from NDMP backup, it is restoring blank folder. If I individually select files under the parent folder then files are getting restored but failing to restore sub folders and files in that.

I am using NB 6.5.4 master server on Windows 2003, trying to restore Sun Open storage with NDMP.

Please help me in addressing this issue.

Regards,
Sreedhar

Hi All,

create a file called ndmp.cfg in <install path>\netbackup\db\config and added NDMP_DAR_DIRECTORY_DISABLED entry. I am able to restore now.

Thanks,
Sreedhar

So are you saying in one particular restore some files are restored but others are not?

Is this a restore to the same filer?
If so, to the same or different location?

A few T/N's that may have relevance:

NDMP restore completes with status 0, but review of the restore destination directory shows no files were restored

GENERAL ERROR: After successfully running a redirected NDMP restore, none of the files show up in the destination directory.

Hi,

Additionally, disable DAR and try the restore agian.

To disable DAR, refer the NDMP admin guide.

We had the same problem with HDS eNAS:

Solution: BACKUP_ORDER = directoy

did not work with "datablock"

You can try to disable DAR and try the restore again!
