i'm very new to NDMP/netbackup, and am running into a problem with our netapp filers, where NDMP backups are failing with file read failed errors.
sometimes they work, other times they don't. resubmitting the backup sometimes works, other times fails.
we are running netbackup 5.1 on linux.
the error in the veritas gui looks like:
Error bpsched (pid = xxxx) backup of client xxx exited with status 13 (file read failed)
Error bptm (pid = xxxx) unable to write bpbrm message, connection dropped or not connected (errno = Broken pipe) file read failed (13)
any clues on how to troubleshoot this problem?
