NetBackup BMR Restore failed communication master server

jukim-5775
Level 1

Backup server and client are set to IPs on different subnets

In the current environment, network routing setup and backups were fine.
I have all the backup policy and SRT configuration for BMR Restore.

However, BMR Restore failed.

The network booting using SRT proceeded,

but it stopped due to the problem of not being able to communicate with the master server.

In this case, how should I solve the problem?

Master : 192.168.111.205

Client : 192.168.112.160

(boot server for network booting in the same subnet)
BMR boot Server : 192.168.112.177

My last BMR work was on 7.7.3 so I can just share some thoughts.

Try to ping the IP address of the master server instead of the name written in /etc/hosts on the BMR server - just to confirm basic connectivity is OK.

From the last screen dump, it looks like your default gateway is set wrong. You cannot have a default gateway of 192.168.111.0 on 192.168.112.1 with  sub netmask of 255.255.255.0. Pls verify default gateways on all 3 host.
