Netbackup 6.5 Port Question

Hi all,

I would like to install NBU 6.5 on Linux platform, tape library will be attached directly to the backup server. Also, 2 RAC will be backup-ed.

There is a firewall between them, anyone know what port will be used by NBU? I can't find any about NBU 6.5 port document on the web. Please help, thanks!

PBX must be set correctly

 

Two settings are vital to the correct functioning of PBX: Auth User (authenticated user) and Secure Mode. When PBX is installed, these are automatically set as required.

To verify these settings, do the following.

 

1 Display the current PBX settings: On UNIX:
/opt/VRTSpbx/bin/pbxcfg -p

 

Example output:

Auth User:0 : rootSecure Mode: falseDebug Level: 10Port Number: 1556PBX service is not cluster configured

Note: Auth User must be rootand Secure Modemust be false. On Windows: install_path\VxPBX\bin\pbxcfg -p

 

Example output:

Auth User:0 : localsystemSecure Mode: falseDebug Level: 10Port Number: 1556PBX service is not cluster configured

 

Note: Auth User must be localsystem and Secure Mode must be false.
