Netbackup 7.0.1 VMWARE backup

We have installed Netbackup 7.0.1 in our environment on Windows 2003 server and taking a Backup of Virtual Machine (Windows 2003) there on ESX Server 4.1

(VSphere) thru SAN on Disk (tried on both SAN / Local disk). Backup performance is good 40 MBPS (and gradually increasing). But when I tried to restore the VM thru SAN performance is very slow i.e. between 10 – 13 MBPS more shocking thing is that when I tried to restore the VM thru LAN the performance is good i.e 30 – 40 MBPS. I really don’t understand why it is so.

Hi Riaan,

We tried the 1 solution i.e. Restore ESX server but no luck

As mentioned earlier we are getting good speed through LAN, so as per the Tech note same problem should be face through LAN also, but in our senior we are getting good speed through LAN but not through SAN.

Do you have the latest vmware rollup patch installed?

Did you try to enable eagery Scrub?
