Netbackup 7.5 Migration

i just want to know that we are going to upgrading netbackup 7.1.0.3 to 7.5.X version 

we are following the following steps which menioend in following tech note

can anyone explain me do we need to manually do the step 5 which has mentioned in key notes

5. NetBackup 7.5 migrates the NetBackup catalog image header information into the Netbackup relational database. This is a multistep process that may impact installation and operational performance until complete. ?

or migration 7.5 will autometically completes the above step ?

our Master server is 7.1.0.3 which is running on windows 2008 R2 box

Catalog has been improved in 7.5. Hence it requires 2 phase migration.

Better you refer steps outlined in NBU 7.5 upgrade Guide

 It has all the steps outlined .

This migration will happen automatically in two phases.  Detailed information about this process can be found in the Upgrade Guide as speedfreak mentions above.  Here's the link to that doc:

The "simple method" is probably what you would want to do (see table 3-1 on pages 18-22 - yes, it's got 15 steps and we still call it a simple method).  Please note that one of the steps in this process is to NOT start NetBackup immediately after applying 7.5, but rather to install the 7.5.0.3 maintenance release and THEN let NetBackup start (and, in the process, begin the migration).  This will ensure that not only will you have the latest and greatest and all the fixes included in the 7.5.0.x line, but it will also ensure you aren't bitten by a few bugs that we found AFTER 7.5 came out, but squashed in the maintenance releases.
