What kind of deduplication - Media server dedupe?
How is disk presented to the media server(s) - as locally mounted LUNs?
If so, please see p. 66/67 of NetBackup Deduplication Guide http://www.symantec.com/docs/DOC5187
"Storage media" and "Connection" requirements are listed on p.77. no particular disk model/make is listed.

NetBackup deduplication does not support file based storage protocols, such as CIFS or NFS, for deduplication storage.
The storage must be configured and operational before you can configure deduplication in NetBackup.
