Netbackup NDMP Local Backup

Hi,

I am want to configure NDMP Local backup, I have netapp filer with NDMP enabled. My tape library, netbackup master server and netapp filer are in the same fabric zone. But I can't see the tape drives and robot in the netapp filer, when I issue sysconfig -m command.

Can anybody help how to configure the robot and tape drives in the netapp filer.

- are you sure that it's been done correctly enabling the filer to "see" the devices?

I presume you are getting:

sysconfig -m
No medium changers present on system.

sysconfig -t
No tape drives present on system.

...like our environment, we attach a MSL 6030 per SCSI to the filer (2050).

What configuration do you have?

Try to use "storage show tape" and you´ll get the attached devices (tape drives).

With "storage show mc" you can take a look at the attached "Media Changer" (library).

If they´re not shown, somethings wrong in you "fabric" :)
