Netbackup master detected IBM TS3100 drives as unusable

Hi,

I am trying to configure a new tape library TS3100 on Netbackup Master 6.5 & 7.0. During Device Configuration Wizard, both the master servers are able to detect 1 robot & 1 drive. But the drives state is unusable.

Has anyone enountered this issue?

Have you downloaded and installed the latest device mappings?

Yeap, I have downloaded Mappings_6_351807 & load it. But still getting the same error.

I run the command "scan", it was able to detect the drives & changer. Only during the Device Configuration Wizard, the drives are detected as unusable.

Hi Everyone

Problem has been resolved after removing the IBM Tape Device Drivers. (lin_tape drivers). With the tape drivers, the st files will not be generated automatically.
