New Features in NetBackup 6.5

Hi@ll,

 

what of the new features requires the netbackup 6.5-client on a server?

We want to update our master- and all media-servers, but no clients.

Hi Dirk,

 

When you install NetBackup Master Server software, the NetBackup Client binaries are automatically installed on the Master Server. You can have older NetBackup Clients running in NBU 6.5, but it is recommended to upgrade at the earliest convenience because of all the bug fixes. Also later versions of NetBackup will enable certain features to be supported. So it depends on the features you require.

I would suggest you search some of the NetBackup update patch readme.
