New Master Server 7.5.0.5 loaded. Whats the next step?

Loaded brand new Master Server.  Do I need to create new policies or do a catalog restore to make it sync with my 2 media servers.  What's the next step to get everything back together?

are you trying to replace your old enviornment with New netbackup 7.5.0.5?

or you just started it new.. with out previous setup?

you would need to expline what is your setup is and how you did that and what you are expecting and all

Had major issues with previous master Server.  Trashed it.  Reloaded a new server with 7.5.0.5.  Can manually reload all my policies, storage units, etc.  Just didn't want to leave out a step.

New Server - already in place software just loaded onto new system.

is this a new Master server or you want to replace this with any existing?

As you saying to make it sync with your two media server.. is this any upgrade?

any hardware failure or DR?

Do you have catalog backup? what is OS?

Steps Taken:

Old master Server had multiple errors:

Opened forum on here, got lots of suggestions, but never fixed allocation resource errors as well as several others

Make some changes that eventually took down the old master server

Tried to reload the old Master Server - failed numerous times

Took the old Master Server down

Tried to and successfully loaded same version of NetBackup on a better server

So, new master has hopefully the same hostname as before?

Same installation path as before?

Same patch level as before?

If so, you now need to restore NBU catalog.

After catalog restore, restart NBU on master and media servers.

If you have devices configured on the new master, remove devices from catalog recovery and run Device Config wizard.

All of your config will be back and Media servers connected.

Working on next phase, trying to recover old Master Server for benefit of NBU Catalog

Does not appear "OLD"Master Server is recoverable...  Will have to start from scratch rebuilding policies, storage units, etc.
