Hello,
I think this is a new one.
We have on the same SAN two SL500 tape libraries, one Solaris host as Master Server and 4 Media Servers.
Just wonder if it is possible to have this Master Server to control two robotic arms of each tape library on only one backup queue.
Alas this queue is in production environment, very limited and risky to testing. The version for NBU is 7.1.
Regards,
Michael.

Totally possible. If you're using capacity license there is no issue. Just make sure the servers can see the new devices on the os level, check that netbackup can see them with the scan command, then run the device configuration wizard.

Yes you can use mutiple tape libraries (with proper licenses).

Thank you for your answers.
A presales manager appointed that acquiring a license was the solution, but he was not specific about this capacity license.

Hi,
Capacity license is not necessarily the solution, its just one of the two methods for licensing NBU. If you're currently using the capacity type license you won't need anything further as most features are covered by it, the license just relates to your capacity backed up.
If you're using the traditional method, then you might need to purchase library based tape drive licenses.
