I have multiple libraries connected to my backup server. Each with multiple drives in them. One of my robots will only write to one drive leaving the other 3 always idle.
I have just removed and readded all robots and dives (which seems to be required a ridiculous number of times per year) but that didnt change anything. Still only 1 drive is chosen and then I see the message Drives are in use, even though there are three idle drives in the same robot that are in an UP state.
The storage unit definition shows maximum concurrent write drives at 4, no multiplexing is used anywhere. What am I doing wrong?

Try this tech note first.

There is however multiple reasons as why drives may be non-utilized.

That seems to have done it for me. There were stale allocations for the 3 drives of the 4 in that specific robot that needed to be cleared I guess.
I suppose I will try to find a way to have this server notify when thos allocations hang like that.
Thanks for the help there.
