Hi

I'm having a problem with sql backup on one of my sql servers.

i backup with netbackup 6.5.6 .the server is 2003 with sql 2005 std.

The status code i'm getting is 2.

I checked the *.bck file on the C:\Program Files\Veritas\NetBackup\DbExt\MsSql and its look ok.

I tried to ununstall / install the client but it didnt worked.

on the logs\bpcd folder i'm getting this log:

To check status codes and troubleshhooting you can refer to the table of codes here:

http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH58686

From here there is a techdoc for most common SQL backup problems amongst others and steps to solve if get Status 2

Analyzing over 500 SQL cases, almost 80% of the cases are opened because of a Status Code 2 being returned by a failed backup:

38 % due to Network Name Resolution.

25% due to a corrupted batch file is, or some 25% are due to missing or incorrect mandatory parameters.

15% due to Backup Policy configuration.
