Robot Inventory problems in NBU 60 MP2

We just upgrdaded from 5.1 MP3a to 6.0 MP2 today.

I keep having problems with taking a robot inventory. I have had two different errors:

unable to send record to tldcd: Broken pipe (32), stat=-5

when I inventory the robot by right clicking on the robot under devices.

When I select Inventory Robot by right clicking on the Media tab in the left window I get:

unable to get record from tldcd: I/O error (5), stat=-9

Thanks,
Troy

A little update.

Our three media servers have the control for the tape drives listed as TLD, but the robot control host (master server) lists all of the drives as SCAN.

Have you updated the devicedrivers too? NB 6 needs new devicedrivers.
Have you deactivate the removable storage manager service (W2Kx)

This is on Solaris.

Here is the solution for future reference.

The master server kept viewing the tape drives as AVR, even though it was the robot control host. The solution was to add ENABLE_ROBOT_AUTH to the vm.conf. The robot control host wasn't letting the master access the robot without that line, even though they are one in the same.

Did you try re-scanning your drives with Device Configuration?

yet another vm.conf entry.
Thanks for the update.
