Scratch Tapes

Hi,


   I cant able to open the NBU GUI & i have to check scrach tapes in that .Please any 1 tell me how to check thourgh CLI.

You didn't state platform but if it is UNIX/LINUX then you have this interface available

vmadm
Use vmadm to manage the volumes and volume pools, the barcode rules, and the
inventory robots that the Media Manager volume daemon (vmd) controls. You
must have root privileges to run this utility.
This utility has a character-based user interface and can be used from any
terminal. When this utility runs, the administrator is presented with a menu of
operations that can be performed.

Another option is vmquery

1. Check your scratch pool index:
     install_path\Volmgr\bin\vmpool -list_scratch (Windows)
     /usr/openv/volmgr/bin/vmpool -list_scratch (Unix)
     this lists all configured scratch pools and the pool index number.

2. Query volumes:
    install_path\Volmgr\bin\vmquery -p <pool index> (Windows)
    /usr/openv/volmgr/bin/vmquery -p <pool index> (Unix)

You can check the tapes in the scratch pool,

/usr/openv/netbackup/bin/goodies/available_media
