Slow backups on w2k8 r2 with VCS/SFHA 6

I have a windows 2008 R2 server

Veritas cluster / SFHA 6.0

Backups are very slow. Any suggestions, whitepapers, documents, best practices ?

Is it for all the drives or just the shadow copies?

Is it a new backup or it was always slow?

what version of NBU client?

always been slow.

does checking the crossmount points in backups affect it ?

also, will VSS and Symantec Snapshot Provider clash causing slow backups?
