Any advice appreciated on the following scenario:
We have a number of overloaded NBU 5.1 Master Servers (Windows 2003), with 30+ Media Servers connected.
The plan is to split into multiple Master Servers, with a better (geographical) split of Media Servers per Master Server.
In addition, we are planning a move to NBU 6.5.
Based on other user's experiences, would it be preferable to perform the Master Server splitting before the migration/upgrade of all to Masters/Medias to V6.5 - or does the central EMM/DB model of NBU 6.5 provide for a simpler method of splitting the Master Servers after 6.5 is already running ?
We have a plan for the split to occur under NBU5.1 - but I'd be keen to hear about user experiences with splitting a 6.x Master Server instead ?
