According to a roadmap presentation I saw in October, NetBackup 7.0 is supposed to have Sharepoint 2010 support. Since features presented in roadmaps aren't guaranteed, I searched in the online portal to see if it made it and can't find any reference to it.
My best guess is that it might be in there but since SharePoint 2010 itself hasn't been released, it's possible/likely that Symantec can't say anything much yet since Microsoft may still change the product before it ships. You will probably want to ugprade to at NetBackup 7.0 but it wouldn't hurt to start a discussion with your SE.
