Tapes are not Labelled Correctly

Hey All,

I've noticed a problem where some of my tapes are not being recognized. I think the problem is that they had previously been assigned as A0005 (for example) and then we put a label on it to change it to 0030L2. However when it just grabs the tape 30L2 it throws me error 93 (media manager found wrong tape in drive). I switched the label on this tape and even though the label was different it still recognized the tape as A0005. Should I just take the label off and use it as A0005 or is there a way I can clear the memory of A0005?

 You can also relabel them in the 6.5 gui. Don't verify, otherwise it will read the label and error. I believe you will lose all the data on the tape. Expire the images on the tape first so they won't be in the database. (they will expire when all the retentions have expired anyway.)
