Unable to remove NDMP host

I am receiving the following message when trying to remove retired NDMP hosts.
Unable to remove NDMP Host from the device configuration. The EMM server failed to process the request (78). I have verified there are no policies that have these hosts as clients to be backed up.

I am running 6.5.4 on all Master/Media servers and clients.

Did you ever figure this out?  I'm having the same issue.

You have to follow the same directions as decomisioning a media server.  Refer to link below.  You will have to reassign any media that is assigned to that ndmp host before you can remove it.
