Hi All,
Is it necessary to uninstall 7.1 client software from linux machine to upgrade to 7.5 fllowed by 7.5.0.6 ? one of the sys admin tried to delete active SAP production servers binaries from (/usr/openv/netbackup) directory saying ,someone suggested her to delete and reinstall new version. I think deleting netbackup binaries in production doesn`t make sense .
Just want to know proper steps to upgrade from 7.1 to 7.5 .
Thanks

I vote for a update as well - if you have a UNIX/Linux based master server you can update the client using the update_client script. It require you have the UNIX client loaded on the master server.
I have linked to some tech notes about the update_clients script.

Also using sort.symantec.com/netbackup. You can use the instalation and upgrade check list that will obtain the proper steps.
