Upgrade from Windows Server 2003 to Windows Server 2008 (32-bit OS)

Dear all,
Does anyone know that if the NetBackup Server (6.5.2A) can be run on Windows Server 2008 Enterprise Edition with 32-bits OS ?? We are planning to upgrade the OS of our servers (x86-32) from Windows 2003 Server R2 (32-bit Enterprise Edition) to Windows Server 2008 (32-bit Enterprise Edition).  However, when I check on the "Veritas netbackup Enterprise Server and Server 6.x OS Software Compatibility List" released on January 12, 2010,  it seems like only the NetBackup Client can be run on the 32-bit Windows Server 2008.  And the NetBackup Master/Media Server must be run on 64-bit Enterprise Edition of Windows Server 2008.  Is it correct??

If this is the case, can I upgrade the OS (with NetBackup Master/Media Server 6.5.2A) from Windows Server 2003 R2 (32-bit) to Windows Server 2008 (64-bit)??

Here is our current configuration:
Netbackup Master/Media server (Windows Server 2003 R2 (32-bit)) running 6.5.2A
2    AIX V5.3 (64-bit) Media server running 6.5.2
10+   Windows clients (Windows Server 2003 R2 32-bit) running 6.5.2A

Thanks a lot and best regards
Sun

I would upgrade to NB 6.5.4 or NB 6.5.5 (latest) on your current platform (32bits) as support as a master on 2008 (64 bit only) started at 6.5.4. as a preparatory stage.
Then look at others experience ...similar thread discussed here

There is a recent technote for WINDOWS which talks about moving between 32bit and 64bit as part of hardware refresh - I think this is answer to your question.

It is sometimes necessary for a customer to replace the hardware they use for their master server.  For example they may need to  replace a 32 bit master server with a newer model 64 bit master server.  In most cases this just involves replacing the existing master server with a newer machine of a similar type but a higher specification and can be accomplished without assistance from Symantec Consulting Services.

Similarly for Linux/UNIX
