Upgrading Master and Media Servers to 6.5

Hi

This is a simple question before I upgrade to 6.5 version. At this moment I have the 6.0 MP5 version running on my servers. I want to upgrade to 6.5 this weekend. My question is: What is the correct procedure to upgrade?

Just insert the 6.5 CD and click Next?

The system delete the version 6.0 and upgrade to 6.5?

If you want to avoid problems in an upgrade, you have few changes to make

 The first modifications fdepends on your environnement (unix AIX, Solaris, cluster or not). Refer to your install guide ..

By experience, the more important is that there is no activitites on Netbackup environnement : desactivate policies, desactivate Media Servers then stop all services on your Master . You can leave them up because the installation process stops them but I saw several times that they could not be stopped correctly (and the installation aborted)

2nd Down all service using bpdown command

Start the instalation.

Up all service using bpup

Activate all policies

Is that correct?

What I need to do into my media servers?

for a windows2K Master Server upgrade :

1/Deactivate policies

2/ Deactivate all Media Servers (Media and Device Management)

3/ Stop  all Master services

4/ Install

That's all !

We just finished the upgrade of our master server to 6.5, and I had the same question about the media servers.  Do we need to stop all of the services, disable the policies, and disconnect all of the storage units, or can we just stop services on the master, and initiate the upgrade on the media server?
