You need to have 'install' file in same folder as linuxS_x86.

My listing was from Redhat software.

There should definitely be a LICENSE file in the base directory of extracted software.

Extract from Installation Guide (link above):

UNIX

See the file LICENSE in the base directory of the UNIX
images on the DVD media or from the downloaded media
images from FileConnect.

Have you checked/verified file size and checksum of downloaded software?

Checksums can be found in this file that you will find in the list of filenames on FileConnect:
NetBackup-and-OpsCenter-7.5_README_Download.txt

You should not cd that far down into installation media.

Go back to the top level where there are these files/folders:

Doc  install  LICENSE  linuxR_x86

Run install in this top level.

BEFORE you do that - what preparation have you done?
Did you perform catalog backup?
Have you read through the Upgrade Portal TN?

Have you gone through the NBU install as well as upgrade manual?

thanks

i just download from fileconnect this software as shown below:

NetBackup_7.5_LinuxS_x86_64.tar.gz    1,569,576.24 kb

and when i downloaded completely this product , it contains only following folder

linuxS_x86

it doesnot contain DOC and INSTALL and LICENSE folder

FOR SUSE LINUX ,do i have to install another base product from fileconnect other than above one?

You will need the NetBackup_7.5_CLIENTS.tar files as well if you intend to push out UNIX clients from the master server.
