VMUPDATE question

When I look at my master 6.5.6 server task manager, vmupdate is continually running at 25% CPU even with no backups running. Is this normal?

Not for Netbackup.  Are you running Microsoft VM Update Manager ??

vmupdate - inventory media contents of a robotic library and update the EMM database

Maybe worth finding a suitable time to stop NetBackup & see if it closes down gracefully. Then start NetBackup & see if it returns.

Has someone manually run the vmupdate command at some point? Maybe it failed for some reason but didn't close fully.
