I want to make a copy of the backups that are deduplicated on the appliance to tape for external storage. Is rehydration not the way to accomplish this?

If the files are backed up as part of SCC, when I do a restore to the same hardware, why are they not getting restored? Is there a work around to capture and restore the files?
