If the error occurs and no BPSTART_RES file exists, on the VMware backup host or the NetBackup client, copy a blank bpstart_notify script from /netbackup/bin/goodies into the /netbackup/bin folder and rename it to be specific to the NetBackup policy with BLIB enabled.

We are facing the issue for nearly 150 VM clients.

Vcenter version - 5.0.0

VM Version : 8 and 7

Note : If we uncheck the "Enable Block Level Incremental" option, the Backup gets successful.

And we are have two Media servers using for VM Backup one is windows and another is SuSe Linux.

We are facing this issue with only on SuSe Linux media server.

According to the TN, check on the VMware backup host.

Hi all,

Backup gets succeeded after copied the script of bpstart_notify.policyname in off host server /netbackup/bin directory.

Whether we should add bpstart_notify script for every individual policy, since we have more than 50 Backup policies configured in our Backup domain. Is any other way to add this script commonly for all the policies.
