I am having problems vaulting so that all four of my drives write tape in the duplication process. I have one master and one media server connected via fiber to a four drive tape unit (LTO3). I have vault configured and it is running but it only runs/writes to one tape drive at a time in the two storage groups that we have configured. I have two vault profiles pointing to a server each but the sotrage unit having two tape drives will not wrtie more than one tape at a time... is the solution to add more vault policies/profiles so that it sees the extra profile as another job stream and pick it up and write with the other drive or should I break up my storage units and configure each one with only one tape drive then have a separate policy pointing to each storage unit? Someone out there has to be writing to more than two drives in a pool. Any advice is welcomed.
