Vmware backup query

Hello,
I'm working on an infrastructure nbu 7.1 and backup virtual servers in vmware. my question is if anyone knows answer me:
Is that it is the vmdk  is backuped or the data used backup ?

Exemple : I'm a virtual server with 2 drive  C:(15Gb used) and D:(2 GB used)

The vmdk has 30 GB size

Nbu backup 30 GB or (15+2 Gb) ?

Hi,

According to your above query & NBU version it seems you want to implement Vstorege API methodology.

I will suggest u to involve symantec account mngr in to this because licensing will play major role.

with all honesty its bit difficult to provide best solution on forum

If you enabled "Exclude unused and deleted blocks", and OS and filesystem on VM is supported, backup size will be about 17GB.
