Have a look at your scan output again. Admittedly the WWN is empty, but (certainly in our case) the WWN is actually incorporated in the Passthru Name:
Device Name : "/dev/rmt/3cbn"
Passthru Name: "/dev/sg/c0tw123456a12345678bl0"
Volume Header: ""
Port: -1; Bus: -1; Target: -1; LUN: -1
Inquiry : "HP Ultrium 3-SCSI L25H"
Vendor ID : "HP "
Product ID : "Ultrium 3-SCSI "
Product Rev: "L25H"
Serial Number: "AB12345CDE"
WWN : ""
WWN Id Type : 0
Device Identifier: ""
Device Type : SDT_TAPE
NetBackup Drive Type: 16
Removable : Yes
Device Supports: SCSI-3
Flags : 0x0
Reason: 0x0
& from the same output the details for the 'changer' can be used to determine which drive number this relates to by comparing serial numbers.
For us, all these numbers match throughout (sgscan, cfgadm & a physical check on the library plus with what NB is reporting with regards to location (e.g. GUI))

I Want to check WWN No. from netbackup end..
09-06-2012 06:52 AM
NetBackup works on the SCSI enquiry string and will not return the WWN - although i believe the scan command reports the WWN in its output
Hope this helps

Yes, Mark is correct scan will show the WWN. Scan is not a NBU command, it is a scsi inquiry command.
I give up, I really do.
WHY WHY WHY do people keep INSISTING on getting tapedrive details from NetBackup .
It is the WRONG way to be THINKING about it.
TAPE is HARDWRAE, therefore the first port of call for deatils should be the operating system, as it is the OS that is talking to the drives.
NETBACKUP haas very very little to do with tape drives, it is the OS that writes to the tapes, not netbackup.
Why ...
Remove NBU from the system, you are left with the os, a network, and tape drives ...
Can people now see why when you think about tape drives you should NOT automatically think netbackup - they are totally separate.

Hello Mark and Martin.
Actually thing is that the VTL drives are down and OS team ask me to provide WWn No., i dont have much exposure over netbackup, so i dont know how to find.
And SCAN command does not provide WWN no.
OUTPUT OF SCAN :
WWN : ""
WWN Id Type : 0
Device Identifier: ""

What OS are you using. Command differs from OS to OS.
Linux : scli -t / qaucli (Qlogic)
Solaris : cfgadm -la -o show_FCP_dev
