In the directory

<install path>\veritas\netbackup

There should be a file called version

THis contains the version of NBU installed

Does the VERSION your registry key @ HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Veritas\NetBackup\CurrentVersion also contain the same as above?

Agree with Martin - your installation seems to be unpatched.

This is what my version file looks like:

VERSION NetBackup 7.5.0.4

You can also run nbemmcmd command:

[root@ural ~]# nbemmcmd
NBEMMCMD, Version: 7.5.0.4
{shortned for clarification }

Or Open netbacup admin console click on help then about Symantec netbackup.

Version is listed there.

And finally, there's one more version (or version.txt) file which can be found in the ...\NetBackup\bin folder as well.
