Can anybody tell me which log file contains the information that is displayed in the java GUI interface after you do a robot inventory? (After you have loaded new tapes in library the gui displays the bar codes of the inserted tapes.) I would like to review which tapes were placed in the library at a specific time...

thanks,

nk

I looked here:

but I didn't catch anything.. (I probably missed it.)

Hi Nathan
I am not very sure about the logs but the whole process of rob inventory is very much similar to doing the vmcheckxxx. I guess it would be under the admin directory.

Nathan,

the Java tool is just that, it is a tool that display's Netbackups data to you; the users, the only logs for java are in /usr/openv/java/logs and these logs are just connectivity type logs.
all the logs you need are in
/usr/openv/netbackup/logs
/veritas/openv/volmgr/debug/dqts
/veritas/openv/logs
/usr/openv/logs/vnetd
/usr/openv/logs/vopied

If you need info on the tape bar codes list then try what Ankur say's, or the like you posted.

Cool?

Great
