Will NB 7.1 windows client software work on NB 7.0.1 UNIX?

Hi Everyone,

Have a question I'm hoping you can weigh in on.

We have 7.0.1 NB installed on our UNIX server.  We have a number of windows servers that need to be backed up.  We don't have 7.0.1 windows software available, but we have the possibility of downloading NB 7.1 for windows.  Will the windows client software on 7.1 work with our 7.0.1 UNIX server?

No - I am afraid not

The system is tiered and no lower item can be at a higher version than the one above it

So you have:

Master >= Media >=Client

You should be able to get the 7.0 version downloaded - if fileconnect and the licensing portal dont have it just phone up licensing customer services for a downgrade key - they are reall helpful! - you can then use that in the licensing portal
